The Case for Fewer Features in a Progress Tracking App

3 min read

A physique tracker doesn't need social feeds, streak badges, or AI coaches. It needs to capture the same pose the same way every week — and stay out of your way.

Most fitness apps grow by addition. New tabs, new modules, new dashboards. The result is software that feels busy but doesn't help you do the one thing you opened it for.

PhysiqueLens takes the opposite path. The capture flow is short. The timeline is quiet. The home screen shows you your latest check-in and gets out of the way. Everything that isn't in service of a cleaner comparison is removed on purpose.

Discipline in a tool encourages discipline in its user. That's the entire product thesis.
